CleverstiX.com was thrilled to partner with Crossbow Education to exhibit at the recent TES Special Educational Needs (TES SEN) Show at Islington’s Business Design Centre in London. As announced at the end of last month, the award-winning Crossbow Education are new CleverstiX stockists who specialise in education resources.
The presence of CleverstiX at TES SEN followed the huge surge of interest in the product from the Education and SEN sectors since the recent endorsements by qualified paediatric Occupational Therapists (who work with children with Dyspraxia/DCD and with Autism/ASD), and the recently published review by the National Handwriting Association.
The ever-popular CleverstiX Jellybean Challenge proved yet again to be an effective way of practically demonstrating the benefits of the product. The intensity of fine motor skill development was remarked upon by a number of visitors.
Of particular interest was the ‘No Spring Back‘ characteristic of CleverstiX. It was noted that compared with other fine motor development tools, such as Tweezer Grippers, the considerably greater intensity of motor strength development provided by CleverstiX could largely be attributed to the fact that children control both the closing and opening movement of CleverstiX, as opposed using a device that automatically springs back open!
Crossbow Education now stock both the Hello Kitty and Kung Fu Panda versions of CleverstiX, included on page 72 of their current catalogue. The popularity of CleverstiX at the show was however somewhat underestimated with Kung Fu Panda selling out mid-way through Friday afternoon! Thankfully emergency new stock was able to be delivered in time for the second day of the show on Saturday!
Barbara Gonzalez (Hedgewood School),
Jellybean Challenge winner
With regards to the ‘serious’ business of the CleverstiX Jellybean Challenge, congratulations must be extended to Barbara Gonzalez, a teacher at Hedgewood School, who managed to grab an extremely impressive 14 Jellybeans into her Sweetie Bag in just 20 seconds. Well done Barbara – we hope you share some with your pupils!
