Last month CleverstiX.com again took part in the Dyspraxia Foundation’s AGM & Conference. The 2017 edition took part in the familiar surroundings of the Norton Rose building in central London.
The event was a complete sell out, breaking all previous attendance records – just a shame that many who wanted tickets had to be turned down!
The AGM was particularly special this year since it was marked by tributes to departing Chair Michele Lee after many years of devotion, hard work and service.
The conference included dedicated youth workshops for those aged 16-25, while the agenda included presentations from the following:
- Professor Amanda Kirby, Do-IT Solutions Ltd CEO, who covered ‘Dyspraxia/DCD through the years from research to practice’
- Angela Webb, Chair of the National Handwriting Association who spoke on ‘Handwriting: how best to help those who struggle’
- Liam Plumridge, ex-Dyspraxia Foundation Young Ambassador, on his real life experience of living and working with dyspraxia/DCD
Our exhibit again hosted the ‘CleverstiX Jellybean Challenge’, and there was particular interest in our new Silicone Thumb version of CleverstiX – especially amongst those who had been looking forward to seeing a version of CleverstiX that can be operated by Left-Handers!
We were also delighted to receive so much positive feedback from parents, OTs, SENCOs who have been using CleverstiX with various children. It’s great to know CleverstiX is making a difference!
